I AM CALLING FOR YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE SUBWAY TO MISSISSAUGA!

I have finally thrown my cap in the political ring for Councillor for Ward 3, Mississauga.

Residents of Mississauga have been waiting patiently far too long for the subway. People in my campaigning Ward 3 are asking when are we going to have the subway connection in Mississauga. The richness and re-vitalization that Ward 3 would receive by having the subway passing through is worth campaigning for. We must ensure that the cycle of delay in having the subway going to Square One be broken.

A light rail from Lakeshore to Brampton is planned. However, a mixed mono-rail from Kipling to Hurontario feeding into it would be ideal.

Effectively, all three levels of government should provide funding for the subway. This would help Mississauga to maintain its status as Canada’s foremost city. It would also help to encourage more enterprises along the line. A tremendous growth would result in a stronger community.

I am calling for the subway extension. It is needed now. Too much talk has gone on about it. It would be great for Mississauga’s residents as well as the over 55, 000 people who are coming to work in Mississauga daily.

I am calling on Premier McGuinty to allow a special subway lottery for Mississauga, which would offset a substantial amount of the cost for the subway extension.

Your vote for me is key to having your subway connection to Square One. We can choose to get things done right with me standing strong on your behalf.

Time to put MISSISSAUGA first. Time for change at City Hall. Time to give   Mississauga’s residents a break and not increase tax automatically yearly. Time to have more funding for social programs so that we can better allocate it for all residents of Mississauga. Time to provide more assistance to seniors. Time for your voices to be heard.

Together, lets reveal our vision for a more vibrant Mississauga! Now is the time for action!

On October 25th, 2010, vote Ward 3 Winston Harding for City Councillor.
